Project Description:

  • We are seeking a Java Developer, with expertise in Vignette Portal application, in Johnston, IA

  • Must be local or willing to relocate at own expenses

  • This is a contract opportunity that does not offer sponsorship now or in the future

  • Must be able to work on W2


  • Exposure in content management by using Vignette Portal suite

  • Exposure in functional and technical analysis, documentation, and development, etc.

  • Build positive client relationships while developing an understanding of customers' businesses

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 7 years of application development experience

  • Java experience

  • Vignette application experience


  • Vignette Portal

  • Java Development

The Application Systems Engineer 4, you will provide technical consultation and support in the development of application systems and programs, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. You will be responsible for supporting a specific LOB within Consumer Lending by developing new and/or enhanced functionality for the applications utilized by the LOB, as well monitoring and participating in production support and release and deployment activities. This position will be an integral part of the overall CORE team (CORE stands for Common Opportunities, Results and Experiences) in the Consumer Lending Technology group, with the overarching objective to design and develop a new origination and processing system for Wells Fargo Home Lending. This dynamic and unified sales and fulfillment system will replace numerous legacy systems, providing quality and consistency to the lending process and customer experience. In support of this significant undertaking, this position will be a key contributor in day to day hands on development efforts and perform production support activities. In this role, you will work with technical leads, technical analysts, business analysts, and DBAs to evaluate business needs and help provide end-to-end technical solutions. The primary duties of this role will focus on working on our Document Generation platform using Expere REQ tool used to update document content. In this role, you will gain exposure to the entire end to end process of originating and fulfilling a mortgage, but the primary areas of focus for this role will be in the development and maintenance of the document content, which is a highly critical capability within the lending process. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Analyzing highly complex business requirements * Designing and/or redesigning complex computer platforms and applications * Verifying program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs * Overseeing overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production * Leading project initiatives * Assuring quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area * Overseeing updating and testing of the business continuation plan This is an exciting group that is ever changing and growing.
