Position Summary

Accountable for managing and facilitating the full portfolio of application data / information and ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the technology platform meet compliance and service level objectives for one or more applications.

The Application Manager is accountable to manage applications in compliance with applicable bank policies and standards and meet the objectives and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) required of the function it supports. Application Manager accountabilities include (but are not limited to) application access reviews, GIS security remediation, audits, software license management required by applications, not permitted technology remediation and support/facilitation of recovery planning and tests.

In some cases, the Application Manager will work with a team to ensure these activities are completed on time and per standards. Some activities such as remediation may require the Application Manager to act as Project Manager depending on scope/magnitude of effort.

The Application Manager role is relied on to best answer questions about technology used within the application and development activities. As the application's primary technical contact, s/he must assist with technology incident resolution by providing technical details, usage, dependencies and lead recovery if necessary.

The Application Manager may be responsible for the relationship/account management of a client/business area in all information technology activities. For applications that are vendor managed, the Application Manager will work closely with their support and vendor management partners to provide technical direction as necessary to ensure the vendor's application meets the Bank's objectives, SLA's, and that all applicable information about the application is correct.Required Skills Understanding in mainframe and client server technologies

  • Understanding in application governance and risk.

  • Prior experience working with SDLC lifecycle

  • Successful work history partnering with stakeholders and partners in application development process.Desired Skills Prior experience managing application risk

  • Experience with Application governance.

  • Familiarity with Agile / Waterfall methodology

  • Programming experience

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Job Description Position Overview Bauer Gear Motor is expanding production in the North America at the Boston Gear facility in Charlotte, NC. To support this localization effort, we are hiring a recent mechanical or electrical engineering graduate who has hands-on applications or design experience. The incumbent will initially focus on creating bills of materials, entering sales orders, and preparing quotes. The Application Engineer will support Product Management, Application Engineering, and Sales Management plans and objectives for the Bauer Gear Motors product line in North America. This will be accomplished by developing and implementing of bills of material, quotations, and assisting with application solutions using fundamental mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles and gear design standards to best meet customers' needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Prepare quotations, including price and lead time, following a prescribed format and timeframe, for approval by the Senior Product Manager and Sales Management. * Develop and maintain the bills of materials and product configuration systems for all product lines. * Review and enter sales orders for new units, space parts and direct replacement units following the prescribed process and timing. * Assist in customer product application, support, and problem solving of inquiries. Be responsive and act on all sales representatives/customers' requests on the same day. Meet all commitments as promised. * Assist Senior Product Manager in the development of product specifications, appropriate catalog and promotional literature, data mining, and competitive part number interchanges. * Support Senior Product Manager with maintaining current files on competitors and customers, including product specifications, pricing, and marketing strategies. * Assist in developing and implementing initiatives for improving the efficiency of processes. Actively participate in Lean Manufacturing activities. * Maintain an interdependent working relationship with Design Engineering to facilitate uniform product design standards and consistency between application standards and final design. Support global account activities and product requirements with Bauer Gear Motors/Germany. Represent the company with periodic customer or vendor site visits as required.
