+/- 75% Travel required. Travel could be domestic or international and may include weekends.
Bilingual English/Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
Must have experience with Windows, networking, hardware, SQL databases, and troubleshooting
Experience in a customer support/help desk role preferred.
Experience in the computer software or construction materials industry preferred.
Knowledge of Command Alkon products, and/or the construction industry a big plus
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships are essential
What You'll Do
From your home base in our Lenexa, Kansas office, you'll travel all over the country, and sometimes around the world, to help our customers!
This includes consulting to increase customer efficiency, managing implementation of our Apex software, providing customer training, and resolving service-related issues.
You'll assess the nature of product or service issues and resolve problems by researching open cases, investigating, and testing issues - and you'll share your findings with the engineering department and with software support colleagues.
You'll document the implementation process, applying continuous improvement methodology to ensure an optimal customer experience.
You'll also upgrade, modify, and convert Crystal Reports for customers.
Who You Are
You LOVE to travel - everywhere! And you're up for doing it around 75% of the time, whether domestic or international, and even occasionally on weekends.
You have strong interpersonal skills and can build good working relationships with anyone.
You've got IT experience - troubleshooting, networking, hardware issues, using SQL, etc. - and experience in customer support.
A degree in Computer Science or IT is preferred, but not crucial.
If you are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese - that's a plus!
Knowledge of the construction/heavy materials industry - and perhaps even knowledge of Command Alkon software - is icing on the top, but not required.
