Application Analyst - Information Systems (Ft, Days)

Job Description

Provides business systems and applications analysis in support of the development of new business applications. Includes evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications and industry requirements. Conducts need and gap analysis and provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Ensures that documentation is updated when change requests are approved for the project. Maintains a good level of expertise with appropriate system documentation tools. Develops detailed implementation and upgrade project plans in conjunction with other account team associates. Classifies problems as system, training, or process and recommends corrections. Reviews system test plans and system tests modules before implementation and reviews end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) for accuracy. Facilitates user acceptance workshops to identify requirements for acceptance test plans. Works with the user to select or create appropriate scenarios to test all results to determine whether system changes met project specifications; uses scenarios to assist the end user in acceptance testing. Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user department. Evaluates and translates end user needs and problems to technical associates. Teaches end users new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools as well as providing support for existing system procedures. In upgrades, monitors production performance enhancements and system integrity with end-users.

Typically, the Analyst level provides end user support for a specific application and translates those needs for developing test plans. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Analyzes business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties. Implements systems applications and tests end-user processes. Creates correspondence, presentations, and other materials for end user training. Responds to client inquiries involving application questions. Develops customized queries and reports utilizing complex table matrices. Interacts with clients, both internal and external, to supply information and develop queries. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. This position requires 3+ years experience in a high tech environment in Tech or Business Systems Analysis or equivalent combination of experience and education.

REQUIRED:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

• Must be able to work after hours

• Must be willing to be on call 24/7

• Must be able to get to Hospital with 60 minutes

• Must have own transportation

• Must be willing to travel to remote site including Dover as necessary

PREFERRED:

• 1+ Years PC Technical Experience

• 5+ Years of Application Support Experience

• HS Graduate or equivalent

• Knowledge of Hospital and/or medical setting is required

• Medical Billing or Clinical Experience is preferred

• Experience supporting hospital based applications
