As a Service Technician, you must be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills. We are seeking a dedicated team player who is able to ensure fast, flexible, and expert service to every customer via excellent time management skills.

As a Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to repair Washers and Dryers, Gas and Electric Stoves, Microwave Ovens, Dishwashers, Trash Compactors, Garbage Disposers,and other home appliances in the customers homes.

Requirements of the Service Technician role include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least 1 2 years of appliance repair experience, preferred
  • Ability to use a computer for parts inquiries and ordering
  • Working mechanical knowledge, including the use of tools and test equipment
  • Ability to perform accurate repair of customer product
  • Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship
  • Flexibility to work variable and flexible hours, including overtime
  • Must complete all technician training elements within required timeframes
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license for the state in which you are applying
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

VIEW JOBS 11/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-10T00:00 Requisition #: 10313 Shift : 1 Start Time : 7:00 am End Time : 4:00 pm Schedule Days : Monday - Friday Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs week) Job Summary: This position may be based out of our Prescott, Kingman, Show Low or Flagstaff locations and will be determined based on selected candidate. Repair, recondition, and service Caterpillar and other Empire line allied machines, systems and components in the field. Prepare equipment for delivery. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions and failures of machine and engines systems, and their components. Work in adverse weather conditions as needed. Accept all out of town assignments requiring extended overnight stays. Communicate orally and in writing information, instructions and explanations to associates, customers and management regarding equipment conditions, problems and recommendations. Preferred 3 - 5 years' experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment. Essential Functions: * Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures. * Maintain good customer relations and support for corporate marketing objectives. * Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components. * Prepare service reports. * Plan and control cost of repair jobs. * Maintain company equipment – keep in good clean orderly condition. * Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards. * Own and maintain required personal tools. * Learn and use Empire, Caterpillar and allied product procedures and systems. * Perform other related duties as assigned. * Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires. * Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned. * Work overtime as needed. * Travel to remote locations as needed. * Make warranty recommendations. * Communicate with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job. * Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of EMPIRE's Six Sigma program. * Work within and promote corporate values. Additional Responsibilities: * Own and maintain required personal tools. * Learn and use Empire, Caterpillar and allied product procedures and systems. * Perform other related duties as assigned. * Maintain current MSHA card if work area requires. * Provide on-the-job training to technicians and helpers as assigned. * Work overtime as needed. * Travel to remote locations as needed. * Make warranty recommendations. * Communicate with proper individuals to clarify instructions or discuss scope or progress of job. * Must accomplish training and serve as a Green Belt in support of EMPIRE's Six Sigma program. * Work within and promote corporate values. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: * Communicate verbally and in writing, information, instructions and explanations to associates, clients and management regarding vehicle/component/equipment conditions, problems, recommendations, and repair processes. * Demonstrated technical skill competence. * Knowledge and skills to operate and understand diagnostic equipment including computerized instrumentation. * Appropriate manner, conduct, and grooming adhere to company policy. * Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively. * Consistent attendance. * Ability to obtain CDL. * Knowledge of CAT machine components and systems. * Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment. * Must have acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements. Education and Experience: * Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). * Current driver's license. * Current CDL is required prior to hire. (On-going costs to maintain CDL after hire date will be paid by Empire) * Minimum of 6 months related experience. * Completion of TRAIN test evaluation. * Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
