Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Installation Technician. If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!


As Installation Technician, you will:

Perform all functions of appliance installation.

  • Install appliances including hooking up washing machines and dryers to manufacturer's specifications

  • Service Agent will be responsible for attending installation training seminars and keeping up-to-date on all product changes Service Agent will maintain product knowledge on Subzero, Thermador, Asko, Bosch, Miele, Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Jennair, Gaggenau, Maytag, Dacor, Viking, Marvel, Uline, Venmar, Scotsman and Fivestar

  • Prompt and reliable attendance

  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with builders, designers and on-site customers.

  • Develop positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors and company management.

  • Additional duties as required.


A successful Installation Technician will possess the following:

  • Familiarity with our products

  • Able to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license

  • Good communication, problem solving and listening skills

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to deal with a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge

  • Able to lift 90+ pound objects frequently and 50+ pound objects occasionally

  • Must have great mechanical skills and willingness to learn new things. Plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills preferred.

  • Work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.


  • Travel is required, up to 80% of the time.

Overview The Solar Installation technician will assemble, install, or maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential roofs in compliance with site assessment and schematics. May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. May perform minor electrical work such as current checks. Responsibilities * Pre-assemble and load job components for the project. * Assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware. * Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment. * Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC). * Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
