The AppleCare Business Development is the team that drives sales of AppleCare products globally. The main focus of this role is on AppleCare Services, which is a strategic and fast-growing program within the AppleCare organization.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of project management work on large-scale project

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a B2B partner-facing role

  • Experience working with complex systems and project solutions

  • Great oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with multiple cross-functional teams within AppleCare organization and with senior management

  • Ability to make decisions quickly with limited information available; takes initiative and thrives in an autonomous work environment

  • Curious about how things work and able to come up with creative solutions

  • Dynamic and driven, able to take initiative and lead by example

  • Strong organizational skills to lead multiple projects, project tracks, internal and external partners, deliverables, and tight deadlines

  • Proven success working in fast-paced and ambiguous environment with completing priorities and issues to resolve

Description

As an AppleCare Services (ACS) Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading complex projects from start to finish, holding cross-functional partners accountable for project tasks and deliverables on time, and within scope of the project. Responsibilities include:

  • Craft and manage project plans that are comprehensive in scope and realistic in deadlines, including outlining key tasks and project tracks to launch AppleCare Services (ACS) with internal cross-functional teams and with external partners
  • Analyze system requirements and help develop system architecture for joint ACS program launches

  • Provide feedback on solutions design and call out process gaps to cross-functional project teams

  • Serve as a liaison between business teams and IS&T to translate business cases and issues into system requirements

  • Provide ongoing project-related communication and share critical status updates with internal and external partners

  • Manage internal partners, and hold them accountable to deliver project tasks on time and within scope

  • Drive external partners to gather feedback on project requirements and status updates on all readiness activities

  • Facilitate onsite and remote workshops that focus on key readiness activities for AppleCare Services projects

  • Collaborate with global AppleCare Business Development on project efficiencies, alignment on continuity of project features and participate in program improvement efforts

  • Frequent travel will be required to support on-site partner meetings, as well as regional Apple meetings as necessary (up to 30% of the time)

Education & Experience

Bachelor Degree Required

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent written and verbal English; another European language is a plus
  • PMP or Six Sigma Certification a plus

Through the projects and programs you support you are encouraged to provide key business insight with a high focus on quality. You will move between projects, identifying what is needed and determine how to adjust your approach accordingly. You are responsible for communicating effectively with a variety of audiences through multiple forums, including verbal, written, and presentation. You will gather and analyze information from a variety of disparate sources to inform your decision making. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle from conception to implementation, including prioritization of the project in collaboration with senior management, crafting a project plan with sequences and activities needed to successfully complete the project, determining the resources (time, money, people, etc.) required to complete the project, and figuring out objectives and measures of success for the project. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with annual budgeting and strategic planning See opportunities and recommend improvements related to new and/or existing programs and workflows Act independently and as a top-level contributor in determining project strategy, scope, and direction Monitoring of program/project status and communication to leadership of overall status Employ six sigma methodologies to identify root causes of a problem and implement sustainable solutions Build and present compelling recommendations, roadmaps, and strategies to project team members and senior leadership as appropriate Education & Experience Bachelors degree, and/or advanced degree preferred PMP, Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred Apple Inc.
