Apple Seeds Cooking in the Schools VISTA
Apple Seeds' mission is to inspire healthy living through garden-based education. Apple Seeds reaches about 10,000 students a year throughout Northwest Arkansas with our garden-based field trips and cooking classes.
There is a huge need for nutrition-education in the Northwest Arkansas community, and unfortunately those numbers only scratch the surface of that need. With Apple Seeds' plans for growth comes a need for individuals to help build capacity for that growth to be sustainable. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
Member Duties : Coordinate and build up the systems to support Apple Seeds' Cooking in the Schools programming in local schools. Support the enhancement and expansion of the Apple Seeds Cooking in the Schools program in area schools through the development of capacity building systems that will help Apple Seeds achieve its growth objectives.
