The Apple Brand Sales Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience by connecting and engaging with Macy's customers to share product knowledge, building quality customer relationships resulting in increased sales and repeat business, and demonstrating superior technical product knowledge to customers. The associate is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary.
Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
Properly execute all systems and procedures to ensure quick and efficient point-of-sale transactions
Handle all returns courteously and professionally, always saying "yes" and involving a manager when judgments need to be made.
Determine customer needs based on product features and other customer preference related factors.
Demonstrate knowledge of technology products and services to educate your customers and build sales.
Maintain a professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm reflecting Macy's commitment to our customer-the most important person in our stores.
Maintain up to date client information to drive sales through purchase follow up and notification of new merchandise and special events.
Develop product knowledge by reading current vendor information and attending training classes in order to communicate it to the customer.
Provide the customer with information on wireless carrier services and products.
Evaluate customers' potential needs for wireless services and/or products and make appropriate recommendations.
Maintain a high level of understanding of wireless carrier's products and pricing models.
Follow the established procedures when handling carrier activation agreements which contain customer confidential information including, but not limited to, social security numbers and dates of birth.
Financial or other highly confidential information (i.e. more than the responsibilities assumed by any sales associate)
Drive to meet or exceed sales productivity and credit solicitation standards and goals.
Maintain exceptional merchandise presentation standards and ensure the selling floor is promptly replenished.
Adhere to Asset Protection and inventory control and compliance procedures, and follow shortage programs and procedures.
Maintain security protocols with respect to high ticket portable merchandise
Perform other duties as necessary.
Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
No specific educational accomplishment is required.
Previous retail sales experience preferred; technology brand selling a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Able to use a calculator.
Possess a strong sense of urgency.
Must enjoy meeting and interacting with customers.
Passionate about Possess a thirst for learning.
Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team.
Should be comfortable with the use of computers and frequent use of RF equipment.
