We are actively recruiting an experienced Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Atrium Health Pineville. Our facility is a rapidly growing community hospital with 394 beds. The hospital is located in Pineville, NC, 14 miles south of the city, just northeast of the South Carolina border.

• Work schedule

• 13-hour shifts (6a-7p or 6p-7a; days, nights, weekends, and holidays)

• Service provides 24/7 coverage with a shift-based model

• Inpatient

• Adults 100%

• Cardiac medical ICU, cardiothoracic surgical ICU, medical ICU, and surgical ICU
• Attending Intensivists provide supervision at our busy medical center that includes a 30 adult ICU unit and expanding to include a second 14 bed adult ICU unit in 2024
• NP and PA duties include daily management and documentation of complicated critically ill medical and surgical patients

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited ACNP or PA program

• Nurse practitioners are required to have a master's degree or doctorate in nursing practice. Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body is required

• Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs is required

• Post graduate ICU fellowship or experience in an ICU setting as a PA or NP preferred. Applicants with significant and recent ICU experience as an RN will be considered

• Interpersonal skills and critical thinking must be demonstrated

• North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS and ACLS required
