The candidate will be responsible for daily rounding, assessing and triaging consults and activations for the Trauma service and covering the SICU 24/7 for rounding and patient management. The candidate will be provided with additional training opportunities to ensure safety and proficiency in performing clinical skills relevant to the Trauma patient.
This position also entails additional training and a certification in order to be able to safely address surgical emergencies. This position is a 12-hour shift with rotation of day and night shifts, as well as rotation of weekdays and weekends. Uses specific age and culture-related physical, intellectual, psychosocial and developmental attributes in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
Required: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current NCCPA certification (successful completion of national certifying examination). Current MI license and CSL (Controlled Substance License). AHA BLS. ACLS, ATLS and DEA required following employment.
Preferred: Trauma experience
