Role Summary:

Ability to analyze issues and work with team members and across organizations to determine root cause, and implement solutions. Work closely with application development team to promote best practices for operational readiness. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Ability to coordinate with internal and external resources as necessary to isolate and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues. Work with application development, architects, and business analysts to understand the business, technical and infrastructure needs. May coordinate with managers to plan and integrate solutions across technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with application development team and key business partners

  • Manages and drives resolutions for high priority production support issues

  • Ability to review the design and development of existing and new Clinical IT applications prior to production implementations to ensure application stability and performance

  • Develop subject matter expertise for end to end application integration points.

  • Ensure consistency of designs across projects and quality of design artifacts

  • Ensure that all delivery and production changes meet stakeholder expectations

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills across applications and database technologies

  • Strong technical background in database technologies Oracle, SQL or MongoDb

  • Technical background in supporting various server platforms. (UNIX, AIX), Linux, Windows and Virtualized server environments

  • Understanding of application development life cycles and supporting test environments.

  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools to ensure adherence to service level agreements.

  • Experience with application capacity and performance tools

  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Create and produce application support documentation

  • Typically eight or more years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of five years' experience application development or production support

Manages, plans and administers scrum activities of the Customer Relationship management (CRM) Systems application development that delivers the core CRM capabilities on the mission critical customer facing, Cigna's core customer inbound real time channels - mobile, IVR, myCigna, agent(Oneview) and thru email, print and text (many more channels in near future). Core capabilities of CRM include marketing campaigns, improving customer engagement, driving customers towards next based action derived based on analytics on customer interactions with Cigna and continuous engagement with customer to improve customer health, best in class customer experience on the all customer facing channels, driving customer to gain the full benefits of the plan and reduce cost. CRM is built on an industry leading technology pack of Teradata product suite on Teradata database and Big Data DB (Hbase) along with connectivity to Cigna built enterprise opportunity repository and enterprise interaction repository on Hadoop big data platform. This role is in support of delivering for the Cigna's key portfolio projects under customer value stream. Responsibilities * Collaborate with business, enterprise architecture and other technical partners to ensure design and development patterns are appropriate and extensible * Supports business and product delivery partners in successful build, test, and release of solutions while ensuring adherence to the Enterprise Architecture direction and strategies * Supports design and development of complex enterprise solutions on JVM-hosted environments * Works with distributed requirements and technical stakeholders to complete shared design and development, ensuring consistency of approach and facilitating resolution of cross-team issues and dependencies * Leads technical and functional data requirements mapping, data governance activities, data integration, data quality for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies * Demonstrates capability to understand and incorporate evolving factors into the data design including security, performance, connectivity, ease of use, metadata General Qualifications * 8-10 years of IT application experience in analysis, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting computing applications in large-scale * Proficient in self-testing of applications, unit testing and use of mock frameworks, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/build/automated regression test * Open source savvy, possessing practical implementation experience using common open source libraries/frameworks. * Ability to estimate financial and resource impact of design/architecture alternatives. Desirable Technical Qualifications * Knowledge of CRM concepts & methodologies and ability to apply this knowledge in building CRM solutions. * Experience in CRM architecture (Teradata CRM product stack). * Design experience in the development of interface contracts between applications, services, external vendors, and workflow processes. * Background in systems architecture technologies and practices, including portal technologies, high availability design, internet security, identity management, web and application server environments, session management, transaction management, middleware messaging, content management and J2EE. * Knowledge of application development utilizing the REST API, Groovy scripts, Shell scripts * Experience and knowledge with Teradata DB, Hadoop DB's (HBase), Oracle DB.
