As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Accounts Payable Department. Duties include:

  • Oversees all aspects of Accounts Payable function.

  • Keep track of all invoices, routes invoices to appropriate parties, assures timely and accurate payment of all invoices.

  • Administers employee expense reports and balances against submitted expense account reports.

  • Receives consumption invoices and processes for payment.

  • Run reports for accounts payable cash requirements prior to check runs. Reviews reports for accuracy.

  • Prepare checks for signature. Obtain signatures on checks.

  • Authorizes release of checks.

  • Acts as a liaison between branch locations, vendors and the Accounts payable department.

  • Hires, supervise, train department personnel.

  • Prepare reports as required.

  • Manage vendor discounts where applicable.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise 2-5 employees in the Accounts Payable department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
