Overview: Tenet is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, communicating with vendors and teammates, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To include, but not limited to the following:
Invoice Processing: Complete Tenet's 3-way match of vendor invoices, set invoices up for payment, and enter invoices into the system.
Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, post transactions to accounts, and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Reconciliations: Reconcile accounts payable transactions, research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues, and maintain vendor files.
Reporting: As needed, prepare and produce monthly, quarterly or annual financial reports related to accounts payable.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures and stay updated on relevant regulations and standards.
Communication: Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any billing or payment issues.
Other Duties: Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting or related area with 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience preferred (not required).
Skills:
Must have a "no job is too small attitude."
Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the interest and ability to learn new software.
Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain solid relationships with customers.
