Anti-Tamper (AT) Engineer
The Anti-Tamper (AT) Engineer in this position will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) System Engineering and Integration (GME) Directorate on Redstone Arsenal, AL. The engineer will deliver program protection and anti-tamper technical expertise to MDA/GME in support of the GMD Weapon System
Development, delivery, and maintenance of the GMD Security Classification Guide which documents guidance for uniform security classification management and protection of GMD information in alignment with the BMDS Security Classification Guide
Development, delivery, and maintenance of the GMD Program Protection Plan, which documents the approach to adequately protect GMD technology, components, and information. This includes information that alone might not be damaging and might be unclassified, but that in combination with other information, could allow an adversary to clone, counter, or defeat warfighting capability
Development, delivery, and maintenance of the GMD Anti-Tamper Plan Annex to the GMD Program Protection Plan which documents the potential Anti-Tamper (IAW MDA Instruction 5200.05-INS) reverse engineering threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, and analysis to determine Critical Program Information risk
Support program milestone reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR) and verify entrance criteria is satisfied by having the AT products approved IAW AT procedures
Integration of the GMD Cybersecurity Strategy Annex to the GMD Program Protection Plan which documents both the program's long-term approach for and implementation of cybersecurity throughout the program lifecycle. This annex is developed by MDA/GML.
Development and delivery of GMD Anti-Tamper/Defense Exportability Assessments in support of GMD Weapon System deployment decisions. This includes development and delivery of: Critical Program Information (CPI) Analyses and Defense Export Strategies; Waivers for CPI, Anti-Tamper, or Defense Exportability Features; Anti-Tamper Plan; Anti-Tamper Evaluation Plan; Anti-Tamper Evaluation Reports; Anti-Tamper Key Management Plan; and Anti-Tamper Maintenance and Logistics Plan; and support the Anti-Tamper Executive Agent Approval Letter delivery
Develop and deliver recommendations to improve program protection while meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Assess program protection and Anti-Tamper designs and implementation plans in support of verification and validation efforts
Identify risk-based technical countermeasures for the protection of GMD Critical Program Information and Critical Components.
Brief Ant-Tamper and Program Protection requirements and prepare white papers and evaluations as required
Support program milestone reviews (SDR, PDR, CDR) and Fielding Decisions and verify entrance criteria is satisfied by having the Ant-Tamper and Program Protection products approved
Position Requires an Active Secret Security Clearance
Education and Experience:
Requires a BS in Engineering or related Technical Field or Study and 7+ years' experience and an active Secret Security Clearance; experience in MDA desired but not mandatory
Capable of performing as a member of a team and assisting with solving complex problems
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal skills required
Secret clearance required
Travel as required to support oversight, meetings, reviews, etc.
