POSITION:Special Education Administrator, Grades K-5

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Masters Degree in Special Education Administration or related field
required

MA Special Education Administrator license required

Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in a public school setting at the elementary or secondary level

Knowledgeable and proficient with federal/state laws and regulations and the IEP Team meeting process

Alternatives to desired qualifications may be considered

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as effective problem
solving skills

Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, as well as the ability to be flexible and organized in a fast paced work environment

DUTIES::Oversee and supervise staff to ensure implementation of federal/state laws and
regulations

Serve as the Team Chairperson for Team evaluation meetings

Supervise and evaluate Special Education educators and paraprofessionals

Serve as liaison between the school, community, and outside agencies providing special services to students and their families

Collaborate with staff, students, and administration to identify and provide supports, interventions and programming to all students

Facilitate the process and coordination of referrals

Manage Out-of-District cases in assigned grade level
Identify, develop, and implement professional development training to special education staff

Oversee, coordinate and supervise the building transitions between grade levels

Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services

SALARY:To be negotiated
