Job TItle: Part-Time School Nurse

Description: The Burlington Township School District is seeking a part-time school nurse for Burlington Township High School. The ideal candidate will play a key role in fostering a healthy and safe school environment, offering health services to students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities encompass health screenings, emergency first aid, caring for the sick and injured within the school premises, maintaining health records, instructing on sound health practices, and prioritizing the promotion of Personalized Education Approaches (PEA). The role requires advocacy for the overall health and well-being of students and staff. Please note that this part-time position does not include health benefits.

Seeking a successful candidate who demonstrates the ability to:

• Valid New Jersey School Nurse Certificate or Registered Nurse License.

• Must meet New Jersey residency requirements.

• Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practices and emergency procedures.

• Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education.

• Knowledge of community health and social services resource.

• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, non-school health professionals and social service agencies.

• Computer literate with proficiency with Google Apps for Education and Snap Health Center preferred.

• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Highly organized and motivated. Self-starter. Ability to work independently.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility.

• Required criminal history background check.
