The Manager of IT Systems is responsible for the leadership and supervision of project planning, deployment and support of the technology infrastructure within the Lincoln Intermediate Unit (LIU) and as a service to the customers of the LIU. An ability to recognize the needs of the organization, supervise technical staff, troubleshoot issues, provide cost effective solutions and provide outstanding customer service are skills, paramount to the success of this individual.
Firm understanding of network protocols, VLANS, DNS, structured cabling, Active Directory, VPN technologies and VOIP, required.
Background in enterprise level networking, required.
Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation, required.
Experience with administration in a Microsoft Windows operating system, Exchange and Cisco environment, preferred.
Requires proficiency with the Microsoft and Google office products.
Strong technology skills in working with Cisco WAN and LAN environments.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be highly confidential at all times with full access to all data in the organization.
Must be flexible to work on multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize and use time management techniques as necessary.
Must be able to learn new skills and deal with constant change, work in small and large groups, and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Terms of Employment
Full time: 40 hours per week, 260 days per year
