Teacher/Consultant

Elementary or Secondary level

REQUIRED CRITERIA:

• Must have NJ LDT/C Certification

• Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities Certification Program

• Experience preferred both as a Teacher and Learning-Disabled Teacher/Consultant

• Experience in the administration and interpretation of evaluation instruments necessary to determine eligibility for special education and related services

• Evidence of in-depth knowledge of special education programming and curriculum

• Understanding of the IEP process; knowledge of reauthorized IDEA and of current State Law/Regulations

• Knowledge in conducting effective CST meetings and parent/staff conferences (including resolution of disagreements)

• Knowledge in communicating both orally and in writing

• Ability to coordinate activities from many sources for the benefit of an individual student
