PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The learning disabilities teacher-consultant shall:

A. Cooperate with other members of the Child Study Team to detect the referred child's special learning difficulties in terms of physiological disabilities

B. Advise the instructor of the child's assets and disabilities and aid the instructor in the skills needed to work with the child and to bring about desired changes in the child's learning performance

C. Organize and define evaluative criteria to measure the effectiveness of the program planned for each identified child

D. Consult with the principal, parents and others who are directly related to children identified as handicapped

E. Serve as resource person to the classroom teacher and help to adapt instructional materials and resources to meet the particular needs of pupils

F. Perform such other duties as may be required by the principal.
