North Reading Public Schools is seeking candidates for the anticipated position of Elementary Team Chairperson (PreK-5) starting in the 2024-2025 school year. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.
North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 3, 2024. New educators will be required to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates still to be determined.
Essential duties
Facilitate initial and three year re-evaluation meetings, manifestation, and independent evaluation review IEP Team meetings for students in grades PreK-5
Complete required paperwork associated with TEAM meetings
Collaborate with team members to ensure IEP is completed and sent to parents/guardians within the appropriate time frame
Responsible for DESE indicator data submission related to grades PreK-5
Consult with IEP Teams as it relates to compliance as well as general questions and concerns
Serve as the District liaison to Early Intervention inclusive of attending meetings, and processing Early Intervention referrals
All other duties as identified by the Director of Student Services or their designee
Requirements
Master's Degree in related field
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Moderate Disabilities, grades PreK-8
Three (3) or more years prior experience
Prior Chairperson experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
