TITLE OF ANTICIPATED POSTITION:

District Counselor 2024-2025 School Year

Counselor Responsibilities:

• To provide individual and group counseling Pre-K-5

• To develop and implement programs/lessons which address social skills development including social emotional learning and character education

• To work with administration and teachers in dealing with crisis situations

• To counsel students having academic/personal problems on an as needed basis

• To serve as the Chair of the 504 Committee and assist with the development, implementation and review of all 504 plans

• To serve as the Antibullying Specialist (ABA) at the Elementary Schools and conduct HIB investigations

• To serve as a member of the I&RS committee; collaborate with staff members and families to develop and monitor student intervention plans

• To attend all meetings as required

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

1.New Jersey Standard Certification as a School Counselor required.

2.Required criminal history background check.

SALARY:

Based on degree and experience as per the LHEA salary guide
