Location: Hinesburg Community School

Champlain Valley School District is seeking a dynamic educator to join Hinesburg Community
School as a middle-level math teacher starting in the 2024-2025 school year. Educators
with multiple endorsements are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Vermont professional educators license with an endorsement in either 1-00 Elementary, or
4-11 Middle-Level Math. The ideal candidate would have the following characteristics/skills:

●An understanding of equitable classroom practices, including restorative models, culturally responsive pedagogy, and an
understanding of anti-bias/anti-racist practices
●At least a year of experience teaching 5-6 grade math
●At least a year of interdisciplinary and or project based learning experience
●Implementation experience with the Common Core Standards in Math
●Knowledge of Responsive Classroom and/or Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and developmentally
appropriate activities that promote social and emotional growth
●Training and experience with differentiated instruction
●Experience with proficiency-based learning and assessment
●Confidence in integrating technology into the curriculum
●Working collaboratively as a member of a team
●Strong and consistent behavior management techniques
●Regular communication with families
