You will serve as an Antenna Mechanic Helper in the Antenna Maintenance Division of the Telecommunications Department at NCTAMSLANT Detachment Cutler, ME of NAVAL COMMUNICATION.

You will help repair and maintain a Very Low Frequency (VLF) antenna network consisting of steel towers up to 980 feet, steel counterweight tower up to 200 feet, and steel tower up to 90 feet.
You will help repair and maintain tophat antenna panels, download antenna systems, helix houses, cross arm clusters, antenna grounding system, transmission line/tunnels, and hoist houses.
You will help in continuous visual inspections looking for out of place cables, structural damage, and electrical arcing.
You will help with maintenance on Inverted Cones, Conical Monopole, Antenna, and GUYS.
You will help the Journeyman Antenna Mechanic by locating coaxial cable leaks and helping with guy wire retensioning.
