As an Antenna Engineer, you will be part of our design team building Consumer Electronics products in emerging and established areas. Involvement will begin at the product concept and continue to mass production.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience designing Antenna system solutions for Consumer Electronics. Experience with factory processes and manufacturing.

  • Experience with GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth, or GPS.

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Simulation tools (CST, HFSS, XFDTD, etc.) or circuit simulation capability using ADS.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Antenna, RF or Electromagnetics.

  • Experience using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, protocol and signaling testers) and antenna chambers.

  • Experience driving new technologies in the domain of RF, electromagnetics and wireless communication.

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and their respective certification process. Familiarity with cellular industry standards and specs.

  • Design antennas to achieve best in class RF/Antenna performance from concept to finish.

  • Measure radiated performance TRP/TIS and efficiency for various builds/prototypes.

  • Engage in cross functional design to integrate antenna designs into products.

  • Support EMC and other regulatory testing; Support factory related testing/issues at various production builds and execute OTA test plans to meet Wireless Carrier requirements.

  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

As a Wireless System Performance Engineer, you'll work with Google product line teams to focus on performance and power optimizations. You'll have the opportunity to work on new Hardware (HW) projects that use WiFi/BT and be able to introduce new features and optimizations according to the use case. You will also define test methodologies and pass/fail criteria to ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence performance and reliability. You will design, develop and improve automated testing setups, including physical setups and automated scripting. You'll work with product teams and partners on manufacturing test flow and test automation. You'll also work with product engineering teams to debug and improve critical connectivity issues. Experience in one or more scripting languages. * Experience using wireless test equipment in a lab environment. Experience with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth technologies/standards. Preferred qualifications: * MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * Experience in the system level analysis from Antenna all the way up to WiFi/BT Protocol. * Knowledge and experience working on the several WiFi and BT protocol layers (e.g., PHY, MAC, GATT, TCP/IP). * Experience in Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth technology. Experience in Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/LTE coexistence. * Experience in wireless MIMO systems and experience in launching connectivity products/chips/technology in mobile and/or consumer space. * Experience with cross-functional teams of hardware and software engineers delivering wireless solutions. * Introduce new features, optimizations according to the use cases that matter most to users. * Ensure WiFi/BT performance for when the product is released. * Design, develop and improve automated testing setups, including physical setups and automated scripting. * Perform competitive analysis on Bluetooth (BT) and Bluetooth LE (BLE) capabilities. * Engage with hardware, software and vendor teams to improve BT, BLE, and Wi-Fi+BT/BLE performance.
