Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle outbound and inbound sales requests to existing agents and their staff by telephone and e-mail. Provide sales support and case consultation to agents regarding potential sales opportunities. Maintain and update agent information in company database.

  • Assist agents throughout the sales cycle until they are paid including help with licensing, contracting and new business assistance.

  • Maintain contact with agents/staff through outbound follow up calls on product quotes, illustrations, and materials sent to agents/staff. May assist with outbound calls to promote Brokers International's value proposition.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior industry experience is preferred. Must have one year of phone sales experience.

  • Iowa Insurance license required within 90 days.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Self-starter

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Strong ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing situations

  • Must be able to handle customer interactions with confidence and tact

  • Effectively use methods to accomplish more in less time

  • Ability to prioritize

  • Strong listening skills
