Undisclosed Annual Giving Manager SUMMARY: Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA) seeks an energetic, strategic, and collaborative Annual Giving Manager with excellent relationship skills and demonstrated success in building capacity and increasing fundraising revenue. The successful candidate must have a genuine interest in the mission of PBA and be a highly skilled communicator able to make a compelling case for institutional support.
The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for the execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Fundraising Garner support for the annual fund; meet and/or exceed annual goals for unrestricted university support.
Regularly engage donors through the donor lifecycle, moving prospects from one stage to the next: identification -> cultivation -> solicitation -> stewardship. Secure first-time and renewed donor commitments, feeding mid-level prospects to the major gifts team as appropriate. Manage and grow the Sailfish Society ($2,500 level) through new and innovative ways, retaining current donors and securing new donors.
Oversee PBA's annual day of giving, working alongside Development leadership team and engaged partners (George Philanthropy Group, EAB, etc.) to ensure successful donor engagement and fundraising opportunities are completed. Regularly engage in learning opportunities to keep a tight pulse on the latest trends and best practices at the annual giving level. Project Management Serve as the primary point of contact for annual giving partnerships (EAB), ensuring that fundraising plans stay on target for overall fundraising success.
Secure necessary creative elements for the successful and on-time deployment of solicitation and stewardship campaigns, including data files, copy, photos. Test all annual giving campaigns prior to launch, ensuring accuracy and ease of giving. Follow up with donor leads in a timely manner, assisting with the appropriate next steps.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Baccalaureate required. Preference given to a PBA graduate.
At least one (1) year experience in a related relationship management or project management role Experience working in a sales or fundraising role; proven ability to secure commitments from assigned portfolio. Preference given to prior work in higher education. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with a wide spectrum of people.
Excellent oral and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to accurately and thoroughly communicate. Knowledge of current developments/trends in area of expertise. Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information, and to devise and develop statistical analyses and reports.
Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, outside agencies and the general public. Regular contact across the Advancement office; partnering with marketing, development, and PR to secure necessary resources required for successful annual fund campaigns.
