Annual Fund Assistant Director

Coe College is seeks qualified candidates for the Annual Fund Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will work in partnership with the Annual Fund Director to further the growth of the fund. This position will also serve as the first contact for the Annual Fund, greeting guests and fielding questions on behalf of the department to colleagues, students, parents and friends of the college. The Assistant Director will work with the Annual Fund Director on project management for the team and student workers.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate to develop a yearly fundraising plan for 10 (+) annual appeals including the Coe Day of Giving.

  • Develop strategies, quantifiable objectives, and goals with the purpose of fostering and expanding financial support to the college. Assist to imbed metrics into different types of outreach and use this data to innovate strategy and benchmark success.

  • Submit data requests for annual giving solicitations, research and events.

  • Consistently record Annual Fund processes and help to streamline these processes and procedures.

  • Track annual giving expenses to assist in managing the budget.

  • With support from the Senior Major Gift & Planned Giving Officer, help to lead the 50th Reunion giving campaign and event plan.

  • Participate in a student work study supervisor committee that collaborates to grow professional development opportunities for student workers.

  • Assist in the creation of social media graphics for campus crowdfunding projects

  • Serve as Co-Advisor of SAA, assist SAA student leaders in planning and facilitating programming for philanthropic and educational events on campus.

  • Work to increase participation in monthly and recurring giving.

  • Facilitate and lead strategy for the Senior Class Gift

  • Provide support to Alumni programs including select special events such as Homecoming and Commencement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of administrative experience; experience in supporting higher education and/or development; experience in non-profit preferred.

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States as visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

  • Successful completion of a background and driver check in accordance with Coe College policy.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Position Specific:

  • Ability to embrace and adapt to the challenging and changing best practices of fundraising.

  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.

  • Ability to participate in creation of publication materials and contribute to ideas and suggestions for implementation by the Marketing team.

  • Ability to use website design platforms to create and manage emails, events and pages.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a timely manner.

  • Strong attention to detail and thorough completion of tasks.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Database experience preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Typical office setting.

  • Light and infrequent (up to 15 lbs.) lift/push/pull requirements.

  • If applicable, move to remote hybrid work schedule after 120 days.
