Buck Company is looking for an Annealing Operator to join its team in Quarryville, PA. What is annealing? "Annealing" means to heat metal and allow it to cool down slowly in order to strengthen the metal. As an Annealing Operator you will pack castings into metal baskets and load the baskets into ovens. When finished in the ovens you will unpack castings using overhead hoists and forklifts. Daily tasks may vary and cross-training is essential. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship will be integral parts of your position as a member of our team. Schedule:
Sunday-6a-2pm
Monday-1pm-10pm
Tuesday-1pm-10pm
Wednesday-6a-2pm
Thursday-11pm-7am
Responsibilities:
Operate general hand tools such as hammers, files, punches
Operate manual conveyor systems, hoists and forklifts
Perform general housekeeping to keep area and surrounding areas clean and clear of debris
Perform visual and hands-on part inspection
Operate automated machines
Operate/use various measurement equipment such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, etc.

Stay on task and communicate well with others

Mechanical aptitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, safely
