Applicant's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise employees and contractors to construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and/or general maintenance.
Set priorities, perform workload forecasting and allocate resources necessary to complete all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as renovations; while maintaining a positive variance on all facilities budgets.
Applicant must be service oriented and multitask with higher level management at the Annapolis site.
Coordinate with Facilities manager to support facilities project responsibilities (area rearrangements/renovations/capital projects etc.) via in-house employees and/or outside contractors. Coordinate with EHSFP to ensure all aspects are considered and necessary training is complete/work is being performed in a safe manner.
Support corporate initiative- greenhouse gas reduction efforts focusing on energy efficient equipment replacement where necessary. Oversee and coordinate all new infrastructure/site equipment is added to the CAFM system and maintenance schedules are created.
Support IT- coordinate communications cabling upgrades as well as infrastructure network cable troubleshooting/repair of LAN connection problems. Coordinate upgrades, repairs and maintenance of conference room A/V equipment.
Coordinate with Security to ensure compliance while working within or around Secure/Closed areas. Provide necessary documentation detailing the scope of Closed area reconfigurations/modifications or boundary penetrations- to gain customer approvals.
Support customers; both internal and external. This support ranges from parking sign placement/ conference room rearrangements, to temperature complaints, office relocations and building renovations/expansions. No Facilities request is too big or small.
Applicant must have at least 10 yrs working experience within construction trades or facilities organizations.
Previous experience with either project management or managing a team.
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
Basic computer skills.
A valid journeyman's license.
Experience with CMMS or other related maintenance type software.
