  • Performing all facets of maintenance and operation of a complex ground radar system specifically the AN/MPS-T1.

  • The ability to troubleshoot to the lowest level and properly correct system anomalies and potential system operating issues.

  • Experienced in the repair / corrective maintenance of the systems complex transmitters, receivers, pedestal mechanics and instrumentation associated with the system deployed while in field.

  • Experience operating the AN/MPS-T1 in support of the training range activities.

  • Capable of interpreting schematics, electrical diagrams, technical notation, mechanical and drawings to assess, diagnose and repair the system to operational condition.

  • Experience analyzing/reviewing and documenting system performance, system needs/requirements for preventive maintenance intervals (PMIs). Inspect and repair as necessary all major system components.

  • Ability to work in outdoor environments

  • Ability to work with limited or no supervision

  • Possess the ability to transfer maintenance and operational knowledge to assigned operational personal

  • TOP SECRET/SCI clearance required or must have the ability to obtain.


  • Ability to perform daily tasks such as replacing components and wiring circuits; troubleshooting complex electronic equipment to the component level

  • Experience using common test equipment such as: digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes to diagnose sophisticated radar subassemblies.

  • Ability to operate system during missions.

  • Ability to perform regular maintenance and repair without supervision.

  • Commercial Driver License, tower climbing certified, soldering certification.

VIEW JOBS 1/1/2020 1:34:38 PM 2020-03-31T13:34 <p>Candidate will support radar operations for air surveillance of both training operations (exercise and daily flying training) and air sovereignty operations within Alaska.  Candidate will support fully-functioning radar systems, provide radar data transport via networks, and then display that radar data for operational use.  Candidate will provide network systems operations and sustainment support to AN/TPS-77 range surveillance radars to maintain operation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  Candidate will ensure the radars and support equipment such as power generation, distribution, fuel, HVAC, and structures are maintained and in proper working order.  Candidate will perform radar troubleshooting, inspecting, repairing, servicing, calibrating, corrosion control, removing and reinstalling, installing Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO)s, command modifications, upgrading equipment and documentation IAW approved changes, performance of Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), and re-establishing systems after movements and deployments.<br />  <br /> Candidate will ensure supported networks, to include adjunct/peripheral/complimentary networks and circuits are operational and fully functioning.  Candidate will respond to outages when identified including if failure occurs over a weekend and/or for failures occurring at the remote communications sites associated with the radar.  Candidate will configure communications and networking circuits (e.g., microwave radios systems, multiplexors, routers, switches etc.) to ensure augmenting radars and track sources are included and compatible within radar displays. <br />  <br /> Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
