Assists the public via phone or in person regarding animal adoptions, pet licensing, and accepting sick, injured or unwanted animals.
Serves as a cashier including receipting of adoptions, reclaims, rabies, sterilizations fees and various other payments, preparing re-cap sheet of monies to be deposited. Inputs pet ownership data to standard office and division forms and compiles data for pet re-licensing.
Performs clerical tasks such as records retention, service follow-ups, and filing.
Generates and edits correspondence, reports, letters and memorandums as requested.
Maintains inventories and facilitates in the procurement of division materials and supplies.
Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
Performs general housekeeping in office area,occasionally removal of animal waste in the public reception area, and occasional cleaning of the front cat condos.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent required. Specialized course work in general office practices preferred.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of Standard Microsoft Software.
Ability to learn Animal License System Software.
Ability to undergo a series of prophylaxis vaccinations.
Ability to communicate verbally with citizens effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Environmental personnel, and general public.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATIONS
Valid state issued driver's license.
