Reporting to the VP,Information Delivery, the Director - AnimalHealth Data & Analytics leadership role will have responsibility foractivities that contribute to planning, creating and implementing a data &analytics vision and strategy aligned with MWI's strategic business plan. This role will enable innovation and understand the businessanalytics trends that can create business value. This role also ensuresadherence to enterprise standards and technology initiatives, and the ITgovernance process. They manage small to large teams of people responsible fordeveloping and delivering business analytics solutions for the business andcustomers. Each role within this role provides technical and businessleadership to their organizations as well as to the business.

  • Manages multiplebusiness analytics processes within one or more functional area.

  • Manages services provided to internaland external customers.

  • Is accountable for IT decisions,management and results.

  • Works with internal and externalcustomers to understand business needs.

  • Contributes to the development of anIT strategy.

  • Manages the development andimplementation of business analytics solutions in alignment with strategicbusiness priorities.

  • Ensures that business needs areunderstood and that IT services provided meet those needs.

  • Collaborates with division directorsacross the organization and key stakeholders for the coordination and alignmentof objectives and functions across multiple functional areas.

  • Leads the delivery and lifecycle ofservices for business strategy development.

  • Leads the financial and internalcustomer analysis.

  • Leads teams performing competitivemarket assessment/ benchmarking.

  • Reviews competitive market assessment/benchmarking results and makes recommendations.

  • Collaborates with businessstakeholders in discerning business trends and their implications.

  • Seeks opportunities to contribute topositive outcomes for business stakeholders.

  • Approaches issues or disagreementswith the objective of reaching win/win solutions.

  • Leads or participates in an advisoryboard to manage IT services demand.

  • Communicates client's needs andpriorities and provides feedback on pricing and investment.

  • Ensures compliance to policies,procedures, and standards.

  • Manages the improvement processesthat impact customer satisfaction and relationships.

  • Owns the designated processes and isaccountable for ensuring that established processes are followed.

  • Participates in the development of ITbudgets.

  • Tracks and takes appropriate steps tostay within budget.

  • Provides high-quality services atoptimal cost to business stakeholders.

  • Measures service performance andimplements improvements.

  • Provides input to financialparameters that drives service costs.

  • Directs the development andimplementation of technologies/ processes that make it easier for businessstakeholders to do business with increased profitability.

  • Participates and provides input to theSLA development process.

  • Ensures internal SLAs are met.

  • Provides advice and counsel to thevendor relationship decision-making and contract development processes.

  • Reviews service provider performance.

  • Identifies and confirms performanceproblems and notifies contract managers.

  • Communicates organization informationthrough department meetings, one-on-one meetings and other communicationvehicles.

  • Supports an environment of open andupward communication with all staff to ensure positive employee morale,effective conflict resolution and upward flow of creative ideas for the benefitof the company and its associates.

  • Meets regularly with team to gatherwork statuses.

  • Discusses work progress andobstacles.

  • Provides advice, guidance, encouragementand constructive feedback.

  • Ensures work, information, ideas, andtechnology flow freely among the section.

  • Establishes measurable individual andteam objectives that are aligned with business and organizational goals.

  • Documents and presents performanceassessments.

  • Recognizes and rewards associatescommensurate with performance.

  • Implements organizational practicesfor staffing, EEO, diversity, performance management, career development,training, reward and recognition, and retention.

  • Provides input to the identificationand development of potential future leaders.

  • Identifies the roles, skills andknowledge required.

  • Ensures staff has the resources andskills needed to support all work initiatives.

  • Participates in IT workforce deploymentactivities.

  • Generates appropriate communication,process and educational plans for mitigating the disruption of change.

  • Identifies and removes obstacles tochange.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or otherrelated field

  • 10 years of IT and business/industrywork experience, with knowledge of one process/service.

  • Requires experience in managing teamsand building relationships with people at a variety of levels.

  • Requires demonstrated ability to launchand deliver one or more IT project(s) on time and within budget

  • Experience with Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, BusinessObjects (BOBJ)
