THE CITY OF WACO SEEKS:

A customer service-centered Animal Control Officer who is comfortable capturing animals, providing information to the community, investigating complaints, maintaining records, and writing status reports. Apply now!

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 

• AND one year of customer or animal service experience.

• Must live within McLennan County

• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.

• Basic Animal Control certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services is required within six months of hire.

• Euthanasia Certification mandated by the Texas Department of State Health Services is required within 120 days of hire

• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) background check

Position Description:

Under basic supervision, enforces state laws and local ordinances governing domestic and wild animals for the City of Waco Animal Services Department.
