Pay for this role starts at $85,900 and can go up from there based on background and qualifications. Additionally, you will be eligible for a meaningful performance based bonus each year.

Yum! is looking for an Android Engineer to add to our dynamic and rapidly scaling team. We are investing in strategic technology innovations to create competitive advantages for our Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC restaurants around the globe. We're looking for solid engineers who bring fresh ideas from their own experience and are eager to tackle new problems across the stack.

Our android applications are significantly more complex than typical apps, so we're looking for team players that love to solve hard problems. Expect to use the latest open source frameworks, contribute to them as needed, and start new ones where none currently exist.

  • Design and build advanced applications for the android platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Troubleshoot and fix bugs in new and existing applications.

  • Methodically test possible issues and be able to quickly develop a software patch to fix the problem.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new development tools.

  • Work with outside data sources and Applied Programming Interfaces (APIs)

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II for the Expedia mobile organization, helping set the tone for our Android technical direction. What you'll do: * You will lead the design, implementation and quality aspects of all the features being delivered that support key Expedia initiatives. * Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs. * Clearly describe technical requirements and implementation details based on an understanding of business requirements * You provide and participate in code reviews to assess overall code quality and flexibility, and the application of good object oriented programming techniques. * Drive continuous improvement and continuous delivery in our software development process within an agile development team. * Write automated unit, system and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines. * You will work closely in a collaborative environment with other hardworking developers both local and in various other Expedia offices around the world to ensure code quality and appropriate testing to ensure excellent product quality. * You are able to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. * Actively mentor peers and other software engineers If you are: * Passionate about beautifully designed app experiences. * Engaged in Agile development principles including TDD, CI and automated testing. * Able to write solid Java/Kotlin code that is both maintainable and elegant. * Excited to pick up, learn and run with new frameworks as they are released. * Fascinated by all aspects of application development, from brainstorming and design to implementation and launch.
