Looking for an experienced Android Developer to join a Direct Hire client team in Ann Arbor, MI

Role & Responsibilities

Build advanced native android products and applications from scratch or enhance legacy codebase.

Perform technical design and implementation of complex Android applications

Review client requirements, wireframes, and designs for technical feasibility, then work with the scrum team to translate these into user stories that can be implemented

Improve product quality through code reviews, writing effective unit tests, and collaborating with QA to implement automation testing where appropriate

Experience & Skills

5 years software development experience that includes 3 years building, releasing and maintaining Android Applications

Demonstrated experience developing Android applications in a professional setting

Passionate about mobile development and writing correct, and efficient code

Familiarity with Android provisioning, and Google Play Store / Amazon App Store deployment

Strong Xcode/Interface builder

Understanding of REST Web Services, JSON and Design Patterns using various technologies

Experience with AWS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, GitHub, and Git Command line a plus

Strong debugging skills with the ability to reach out and work with peers to solve complex problems

Preferred Skills

Experience with web technologies (HTML5/CSS/JS)

Consulting experience, particularly with large corporate clients is a big plus

UX and/or design capability

Experience with iOS programming

You will be a member of a team that will help coordinate the use of technology with websites. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and expertise as a web applications developer in order to help build innovative web applications. As a main focus of this position, you will work with stakeholders and consultants in the creation of easy to use websites, including adding or changing administrative features that support faculty and staff members' work on these projects. Daily activities will include: working with technical teams; creating, modifying, and testing web sites/applications; providing project management and planning; and building applications. CAEN seeks someone who excels at communicating and collaborating with staff, faculty, and leadership. You should have a strong interest in building and improving software for a wide array of purposes.
