As a member of the Harman X team, your primary role will be to design and build Android and Linux based systems that enhance the audio experience in sound quality and the audio device user interface.
Perform technical research and evaluations in all areas of Android systems development.
Develop and integrate audio systems in an Android system.
Designing, writing and debugging code in C/C++ and other languages as needed.
Understanding of the interaction between hardware software and how to develop interfaces between software and hardware
Familiar with Cloud-based services for faster prototype development
Actively enhancing Harman's IP portfolio with project-related IP.
Monitoring current trends and changes in technology, including the state-of-the-art innovations in your area of expertise.
Transfer of developed technologies to business units for commercial product deployment.
Conduct feasibility studies. Presentations and technical demonstrations.
Collaborate with peers both inside and external to HARMAN, both in the local office and in facilities globally.
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related field.
5+ or more years of experience in Android development.
Experienced Android SDK, Eclipse IDE, Android Studio
Ability to implement audio solutions in Android environment
Ability to develop on various Android platforms (Phones/Tables/Custom)
Proficient in object-oriented design, data structures, problem solving, debugging
Understanding of interactions of different version of Android.
Strong attention to detail.
Experienced working within an Agile development framework.
Experience in Linux application development
Experience in Android User Interface development
Ability to operate hardware level diagnostic tools (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, etc.)
Passion for audio and music.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of time.
Willingness to work in Richardson TX office.
