FOX Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 28 stations in 17 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Charlotte.
Anchor 6:00 p.m. newscasts. Enterprise, research and report news stories on a daily basis, emphasizing creativity and originality.
Anchoring duties may include live field anchoring and other special events. Be an energetic, effective, clear communicator when telling and selling a story. Present material in a compelling and engaging manner.
Must be good at research. Excellent ability to conduct live unscripted interviews. Ability to ad-lib effectively.
Contribute regularly to social media efforts. Minimum five years' experience reporting and anchoring. College degree is preferred in a communications related field.
Superior knowledge of current events. Strong command of English language; working knowledge of libel laws and generally accepted journalistic ethics. Must exercise good judgment.
Must have extensive, proven anchoring/reporting experience in television news. Must be a highly creative, motivated self-starter, team player and newsroom leader. Strong social media skills.
Knowledge of newsroom computer systems. Ability to shoot and edit, a plus. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to drive company vehicles.
