Responsibilities

Responsible for providing anatomic pathology services; serves as a resource in clinical pathology for attending physicians, nursing, pediatric and other medical and surgical subspecialty services, community physicians, and ancillary health team providers. Ensure the quality of all associated patient care and service, and integration of these services with Seattle Children's goals, vision and philosophy. Contribute to the hospital's academic mission. Meet criteria for UWSOM faculty appointment.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • MD Degree.

  • Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Pathology.

  • Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges at Seattle Children's.

  • Faculty appointment at the University of Washington.

Required Credentials:

  • Licensed as a Physician in the State of Washington.

  • Meets the Academic Rank eligibility requirements for Assistant Professor in the UW Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

  • Prior to start of employment, must obtain, and maintain in good standing, medical or allied health professional staff privileges that are not limited, revoked, suspended, conditioned, or probationary, except for normal probationary periods due to initial appointment.

  • All medical and allied health professional staff members are provisional for the first year.

  • Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's.

  • Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.

  • Questions regarding medical or allied health professional staff privileges may be directed to Medical Staff Services.

Preferred:

  • At least three (3) years clinical experience in Pediatric Pathology.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$113.64 - $170.46 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$236,371.20 - $354,556.80 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
