This team will support the strategic objectives of UnityPoint and collaborate with customers across the care continuum to ensure the appropriate information is available to drive decision making and support business needs. Assists the Manager, Strategic Analytics in building industry leading analytics solutions for financial, operational and clinical use cases and translates key insights to stakeholders in order to advance performance on quality, utilization or other key drives.
The Analytics Technical Writer is responsible for developing and maintaining artifacts, tools and protocols in support of department-wide portfolio management and enterprise-wide communication of analytics' applications, tools, solutions and assets. This role understands the analytics and data science portfolio and as part of the project implementation process, creates documentation that may include such things as where and how to access an application, background of development of a tool, overview of the application, data sources, limitations of the solution, key measures, intended use and examples of intended improvements if applicable.
The Analytics Technical Writer partners with analytics, clinical and operational teams to maintain an up-to-date documentation repository of Analytics' applications, tools, solutions and assets. This role requires written translation of complex ideas and concepts into terminology and vocabulary that can be comprehended across the UPH enterprise. The Analytics Technical Writer will value internal relationships and bring a strong customer service driven approach to her/his work. This position is a key member of our fast-paced, hardworking and customer oriented Analytics team.
Serve as Lead responsible for developing and producing documentation for use of Analytics' applications, tools, solutions and assets.
Create and maintain a library/Wiki of Analytics' written materials and communications
Partner with stakeholders in creation of communications and documentation for Analytics' applications, tools, solutions and assets.
Develop and maintain a consistent, coherent look and feel of Analytics' written communications and documentation.
Prioritize work across multiple projects to ensure agreed to completion and release dates are met or if necessary renegotiated.
Explore alternative avenues of cost-effective communication and documentation options.
Create and maintain a written plan to ensure successful deployment and use of Analytics' applications, tools, solutions and assets to the enterprise.
Uses big picture view to help foster growth and use of Analytics' tools and solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Analytics, Healthcare Information Technology, Education or other similar fields of expertise.
Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific role.
1 year Technical and/or professional writing in a business environment.
Working with cross-functional teams and large complex projects.
Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working within various facets of a healthcare organization and/or analytics operations.
Experience in analytical role (analysis, information science, data visualization or other relevant quantitative field).
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills and the ability to understand and communicate concepts to technical and non-technical individuals in a clear, precise and actionable manner.
Highly developed communications and negotiation skills to effectively work with all levels of team members throughout UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate, prioritize and manage work on large, complex projects and build consensus among groups or individuals with diverse interests and functions.
Ability to understand and deal effectively with problems, changing priorities and opportunities, which arise, in a complex multiprocessing environment.
Team focused, able to create and maintain effective working relationships.
