Description:

The Hardware Sales team focuses on client-branded hardware across product categories. As the analytics manager, you'll be responsible to manage the Global Mystery shopping program that focuses multiple product categories (e.g.

Smartphone, connected home devices) across countries. The program aims to measure Retail Associates advocacy, product knowledge and ownership for client products, and provide actionable insights at both the store level to guide day-to-day in-store training and sales activities, and also at the strategic level for channel strategy.

As the analytics manager, you will be responsible for program managing the global mystery shopping execution to deliver actionable insights to improve retail execution and drive retail sales.

Overall Responsibilities:

Operations & Vendor Management (40%):

Design and implement mystery shopping survey guidelines and questionnaires based on business objectives with input from cross-functional teams including Country Store Ops, Marketing, Sales and Go-to-market.

Oversee Mystery shopping vendor to design and implement sampling process for monthly mystery shopping visits and validate vendor's work

Maintain mystery shopping program scopes (e.g. channel focus, product focus, store lists) by collaborating closely with country Store Ops teams

Business Intelligence & Data Maintenance (60%):

Partner with Mystery Shopping Vendor and client Internal Data Service team to ingest mystery shopping data into client database and monitor the data ingestion process

Create automated business intelligence reports, gather business requirements and create mockups for dashboards, work with Vendor / Internal Data Service team on implementation, conduct user acceptance test, manage the deployment of business intelligence reports, conduct trainings and respond to support requests from users

Conduct deep dive analysis by combining mystery shopping survey data, store level sales inventory data, market share data and other datasets to derive actionable insights and make recommendations on how to improve in-store execution and maximize sales

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory:

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative / business field (Statistics, Business Management) or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience in program management including stakeholder management, business requirements gathering, creating/maintaining project timeline, scope, and deliverables 3 years of experience in management consulting, sales analytics/marketing analytics, statistical modeling/analysis in a technology/media company. Familiar with SQL to pull and join large datasets in preparation for deep dive analysis Working experience with statistical packages (R, Python, Google Sheet, advanced Excel, letc.)

Desired:

Master's degree in a quantitative / business field (Statistics, Business Management) or equivalent practical experience.

Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation

Experience in managing a program with broad cross-functional involvement (e.g. different functions / countries) and senior stakeholders (e.g. director / VP level)

Experience in Vendor management including creating vendor scorecard and leading vendor business reviews (e.g. KPI, SLA, process optimization reviews)

Experience with managing end-to-end implementation/deployment of Business Intelligence solutions (e.g. Tableau dashboards) from creating business requirements documents and mockups, leading feature prioritization and implementation with engineering team's support, conducting user acceptance testing, providing trainings to end-user, ongoing maintenance of dashboards.

Experience in program effectiveness evaluation using survey or other quantitative methodologies and advanced analytics (e.g. machine learning, predictive modeling, consumer choice modeling)

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Capable of translating analysis results into business recommendations.
