ROLE DESCRIPTION: Analytics Go to Market Industry Lead

Accenture Analytics partners with our largest clients to define and enable insights-led transformation. As a Go to Market Industry Lead you will have sole accountability with the industry to define the overall strategy and priorities with respect to analytics, helping to drive demand in the market. As part of your role engaging with our clients you will act as the analytics "value architect" for our most transformative opportunities, enabling an end-to-end analytics journey by bringing the best of Accenture Analytics to our clients. You will also be responsible for building a practice and for understanding our industry's biggest challenges and defining industry relevant offerings.


  • Sales Origination & Business Development

  • Accountability for industry analytics sales targets as determined by the practice

  • Position Accenture as the lead partner for Analytics with our clients

  • Identify new business opportunities relating to analytics or digital initiatives

  • Lead the development of businesses cases for further project sales as determined by the practice

  • Facilitate the development of "request for proposals" responses and contract development

  • Analytics Transformation Mobilization and Project Advisor

  • Drive the client stakeholder engagement plan to scope the overarching opportunity

  • Work closely with leadership to set strategy and define success criteria for any project

  • Actively structure and drive the executive governance process with the client (VP and above)

  • Drive the integrated value proposition and work with the client to gain alignment and buy-in

  • Apply Accenture standard methods for performing strategy assessments and implementations

  • Leverage the best from Accenture to architect the solution and shape the commercial proposition

  • Practice & Offering Management

  • Define and articulate how best to tailor analytics offerings to meet market demand

  • Play an active role building a practice including capability development and recruiting

  • Identify and help bring into the practice talented individuals both internally and externally


  • Ability to build and manage a practice:

  • Experience developing and auctioning business plans

  • Experience managing a P&L

  • Ability to originate sales and develop commercial constructs

  • Understanding of how to link analytics with business value to shape the business case

  • Understanding of analytics operating models and governance structures

  • Deep understanding of analytics, including data management, business intelligence, and predictive analytics

  • Understanding of how advanced data techniques can be applied to solve client problems

  • Knowledge of big data platforms, tools and applications

  • Quantitative background/proven problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of analytics roles and responsibilities (e.g., data scientist)

  • Deep Industry & Functional analytics experience

  • Strong industry relevance

  • Ability to partner with our clients to understand business problems and strategies

  • Ability to translate business issues into specific requirements to develop analytics solutions

  • Client Delivery & Relationship Management

  • Ability to interact with and influence VP and above

  • Ability to interpret the results of analytical insights and translate results to the client in business context to drive value

  • Able to explain complex concepts in non-technical language

  • Strong story-telling ability

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 The Client Analytics Senior Manager is responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing analytical models and capabilities that support the Value Analytics team and our boundary partners. This individual will develop and own analytical modeling workstreams that serve internal Cox Automotive team needs for our sales teams that support our largest and most strategic clients, as well as enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Focus areas include client segmentation, opportunity sizing models, and analysis supporting CAI strategic initiatives. This role is also responsible for managing analysis datasets within an AWS environment and ensuring that all models are built in an agile, scalable, and repeatable way. Key Responsibilities: Analytical Model Creation * Designs and develops advanced analytics projects through business and analytical problem framing, data acquisition and creation, model approach definition, model building and solution deployment * Must be able to deliver insightful analyses, quickly and accurately, on a just-in-time basis * Knack for summarizing / translating complex technical concepts into simple communications / stories Data Architecture Design * Identifies relevant data sources to feed the analytical modeling capabilities as well as defines repeatable processes for recreating and scaling analytical approach through enterprise platforms and AWS infrastructure (includes activities and scheduling for implementing, improving, and updating the data set) Business-Facing Analysis * Establish and develop strong relationships and alignment with Corporate Strategy Teams, Finance and FP&A teams at both the CAI and Solution Group levels to support ad-hoc and what-if scenario planning and analysis. * Defines/refines an operating model for analytical models that specifies all responsibilities and timing associated with maintaining the steady-state operation, refreshing/updating segmentation inputs, and running dynamic segmentation for specific use cases * Thrives in a fast-paced environment and responds to senior level executive requests smartly * Develop a closed-loop process with CAI departments to maintain and improve upon analytical models Required: * Minimum 7 years of experience with statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning, and advanced analytical modeling * BS/BA in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent quantitative degree is required * Strong proficiency with statistical coding languages and data manipulation tools (R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, etc.) * Experience in a complex organization, with a proven track record of positive results required * Expert knowledge in analytics, statistics, mathematical modeling, and experimental design applied in developing customer segmentation schemes * Experience developing and implementing analytical models (segmentation, pricing, opportunity sizing, forecasting, market basket analysis, etc.) based on various statistical methods (classification, clustering, etc.) * Expert in working with "big-ish" data sets (10s of Millions of records) * Expert at data blending and data manipulation * Excellent writing proficiency, visual design, and presentation skills required * Proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization * Strong critical thinking skills * Success in a startup environment – high energy, quick turns, get-it-done initiative, limited oversight * Must have a high level of comfort with the Agile methodology * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required * Demonstrated ability to understand and influence sales teams * Data-driven problem solving approach, combined with business reasonable strategy Preferred: * MS in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent quantitative degree is preferred * Management consulting experience preferred * Experience working with AWS technologies is a plus COX-290 Cox Enterprises Atlanta GA
