Job DescriptionQualifications

The Solution Engineer will have overall responsibility for exceeding customer expectations through superior delivery of best-of-breed development tasks for front end digital data collection. This qualified individual will work with Client directly and Client's third-party partner development teams to ensure development tasks are delivered on time, within budget and to a high degree of accuracy according to specifications. This role will also ensure appropriate communication amongst the entire project team and stakeholders. This person will possess an understanding of the Client's business and digital data capture requirements and support the project team through the creation of accurate and thorough specifications.

  • Actively participates in requirements gathering sessions

  • Prepares and presents detailed functional and technical specifications that support digital data collection requirements

  • Develops solutions to specifications on time, within budget and with an impeccable degree of quality and precision to specification

  • Prepares and clearly communicates best in class methods by which Clients can effectively optimize digital data collection methods including, but not limited to:

  • Tag Management (e.g. Adobe, Google, Tealium, Ensighten, etc.)

  • Customer Data & Audience Management (e.g. Adobe, Google, Tealium, etc.)

  • Testing & Targeting (e.g. Adobe, Google)

  • Web Analytics (e.g. Adobe, Google, etc.)

  • Frequently interacts with developers, marketers, product managers, analysts to ensure technical solution offers scale and supports Client needs

  • Ability to effectively present technical details to a non-technical audience

  • Strong customer service orientation; consistently meet internal and external client commitments; demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

  • Effective communication skills; ability to simplify and structure complex concepts to streamline interactions and highlight key points

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organizational skills

  • Impeccable verbal and written comprehension and communication skills

  • Versed in using Atlassian/JIRA boards and Agile delivery

  • Skilled with Visio/OmniGraffle

  • 3-5 years JavaScript experience. JQuery or other frameworks are a plus, but not a substitute for JavaScript understanding

  • 3-5 years of experience with HTML/CSS

  • Backend programming a plus, preferably C# or Java

  • Experience as a business requirements analyst with full lifecycle technology implementations involving digital data collection across various customer-facing applications [ie. Web, mobile]

  • Experience with data transmission methodologies [ie. API, XML, RSS]

  • Ability to thrive in a complex environment consisting of geographically dispersed and highly matrixed teams ranging from 5-50 people

  • Prefer strong experience in Google 360 suite.


  • Bachelor's degree four-year college or university, preferably in Marketing, Business or related field

  • Ability to adapt to various conditions and situations; ability to tolerate stressful situations and remain focused under pressure

  • Ability to thrive in a complex environment consisting of geographically dispersed and highly matrixed teams

  • Willingness to travel when necessary - up to 25%

  • Experience with other enterprise-wide platforms such as Salesforce, IBM, Oracle will be a plus

The Role: Data Analytics Engineer The Data Analytics Engineer is an important part of Cappex's Technology team. We have an important mission and need a curious thinker who will continually advance our market insights as well as help build our data and analytics functions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the entire organization to gather requirements, determine priorities, and develop solutions in our data warehouse environment. You will also build Internal and client facing dashboards and processes to help equip them with the latest business and market intelligence. What we're looking for: * BS/BA degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field * At least 2-3 years of experience within web analytics or data warehouse environment/ETL * At least 2-3 years experience with SQL or similar language * Experience with database architecture * Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to apply knowledge and creativity to resolve complex issues * Statistical Mindset - ability to read data, present findings and think outside the box * Project and time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks * Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and data-driven findings to business stakeholders, and to explain processes, concepts, challenges, and issues to technical resources * Experience with Software Development Life Cycle or similar - Planning, Defining, Designing, Building, Testing, Deployment * Identify trends, get to root cause, and drive second-order insights from web analytics reports and data. * Desire to learn and move rapidly - using new tools, exploring machine learning * Familiarity with website traffic analytics Beneficial Experience: * Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio * Experience with a BI tool such as Sisense, PowerBI, etc. * Prior experience managing analytics for a highly-trafficked website To Apply: Please include resume and cover letter.
