The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Analytics Manager, Clinical & Research Data Navigation, the Analytics Developer
This position will require the individual to design, create, and maintain data structures, reports, dashboards, and related data extracts from various institutional data sources such as Epic and CUIMC's legacy electronic health records. This individual must be proficient in SQL coding, the use of institutional business intelligence tools, related data models, and best practices for data warehousing.
In addition to development work, this position requires the individual to work with end-users to understand analytic needs and both scope and document technical specifications for requests. This role will require the individual to provide status updates, set user expectations, and generally demonstrate the ability to explain technical solutions to others. This individual must be team oriented and possess strong customer service, communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a similar discipline.
Three years of related full-time work experience; significant relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Proficiency in MS SQL, including relational database design and the use of T-SQL, subqueries, and window functions.
Epic Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, and Clinical Data Model certification (or certification within six months of employment).
Excellent decision making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and technical documentation skills with an emphasis on communication, detail, and follow-up.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more Epic certifications in any application.
One year of report development experience utilizing Epic's database data structures.
Experience with Power BI and/or other popular BI tools.
Experience with reporting on AllScripts data.
Experience with common clinical data coding standards (ICD, CPT, LOINC, RxNorm, etc) and workflows.
