How do we ensure that we are providing the proper training, support, and documentation to make them successful? That's where you come in! The Senior Program Manager of Analytics Enablement will be tasked with driving adoption and proper use of our data and analytic tools. Additionally, you will foster a true Analytics community where best practices and learnings are shared between Wayfair's many Analytics teams.

What You'll Do

  • Consult with business partners across the organization to understand gaps in how they are able to access data and perform analysis. Identify optimal analytic solutions to meet their use cases.

  • Organize and create trainings to upskill business users across the organization on leveraging BI tools and data. Arrange support committees to provide continuous support for our business users.

  • Partner with our Content team to drive documentation of our tools and data sets for the understanding of our business users.

  • Assemble an Analytics committee with representation across the organization to share projects and learnings.

  • Create events for Wayfair's Analytics teams to showcase their work to the organization.

  • Engage with the external Analytics community and identify events to attend and host.

What You Have

  • A proven track record managing multiple work streams and project deadlines in a cross-functional environment

  • Experience interacting with high-level internal stakeholders or managing external clients

  • Innovative problem-solving skills able to dissect and succinctly summarize roadblocks, identify and implement mitigating solutions

  • Dedication to continuous improvement through data-driven actions

  • Clear senior presence with thoughtful, articulate written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-driven motivation with a bias towards action; Strong sense of curiosity and adaptability

  • Familiarity with Analytical tools (such as Tableau, OLAP Cubes, Looker) and programming languages (such as SQL, Python, R) a plus

  • Experience with event planning and/or corporate education a plus

VIEW JOBS 10/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-17T00:00 Description The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) is currently accepting bids/applications for the position of Communications Specialist (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25) in the Aviation department. The Communications Specialist coordinates radio and phone communications for the Massport Operations staff, Massport Fire/Rescue Department, State, Federal and public agencies; provides centralized notification and communication during routine and emergency situations. Coordinates gate usage and aircraft parking for various ramp areas. Monitors and operates Logan Airport's card system for security alarms and breaches. Essential Tasks of the Job Coordinates radio and telephone communications for all routine and emergency activities affecting the aircraft operating and general public areas. 1. Monitors all Massport radio channels. 2. Monitors and processes information on Logan Airport's roadways, and airfield. 3. Maintains manual and computer logs and reports to document daily occurrences and unusual events. 4. Dispatches by telephone or radio, information to relevant parties. 5. Operates Massport's auto notification system for pagers. Controls activity of Massport owned aircraft parking positions and gate plans. 1. Logs activity of aircraft parking positions and gate plans. 2. Monitors and updates flight information display screens. 3. Confirms information for billing purposes. 4. Prepares daily gate plan using computerized gate planning system. 5. Prepares seasonal gate plan for Authority owned gates. Coordinates operating activities of Massport Operations and FAA tower operations via radio, computer or telephone. 1. Communicates all field condition reports to staff, tenants and FAA using internet based electronic field condition reporting system. 2. Coordinates maintenance work requests with Massport Operations, FAA, and other relevant parties. 3. Monitors weather conditions regarding implications for flight and runway operations (field conditions). Receives, advises, and logs emergency call for Massport Fire/Rescue department and handles emergency or 911 calls. 1. Answers and logs emergency calls on the airport. 2. Relays medical information to support agencies (e.g. Boston EMS) or as directed by Fire/Rescue personnel. 3. Provides coordination of communications during routine and emergency response, including mutual aid, as directed. Interacts with supervisors of FAA tower, airlines, State Police, and Massport staff to implement and control airport activities. 1. Responds to inquiries from staff, government agencies, airlines, tenants and general public concerning problems, policies and procedures. 2. Answers noise abatement inquires and completes aircraft disturbance reports. 3. Ensures audio recording systems for radio channels and telephone lines for the 16th floor are properly maintained and operational. 4. Maintains current and accurate broadcasts of airport related information on the Highway Advisory Radio System, AM Radio 1650. Assists in the training of new employees. 1. Orients new personnel to Massport systems and policies. 2. Oversees new employee's work as assigned by the Communications Center Manager. Advises Operations Shift Manager of reports of unsafe or unsatisfactory conditions and, as directed, initiates request to staff or tenants to correct those conditions. Monitors security card access system for alarms. 1. Monitors computer screens for alarms. Researches alarms using system data including CCTV images to evaluate security threat. 2. Processes and logs all reported alarms and responses to the alarms, using manual and computerized systems. 3. Contacts and dispatches appropriate personnel for investigation of alarms, via radio or telephone. 4. Controls door locks in unusual situations. 5. Monitors CCTV systems for security purposes. 6. Advises State Police of alarms from card access system and observations from CCTV systems. Monitors new regulations and rules regarding FAA, Massport, and government legal and safety issues. Performs other duties as assigned. SECONDARY JOB TASKS: Maintains tapes of daily occurrences. 1. Rewinds and compiles tapes from previous day regarding airport activities. 2. Logs information and tapes. Maintains and monitors computer and printer equipment. 1. Runs back up logs on systems. 2. Alerts appropriate parties when system goes down. Assists in keeping track of personnel hours and sick calls. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements and Qualifications EDUCATION LEVEL: Bachelor's degree required; a degree related to aviation management preferred. Ability to communicate in standard English, required. EXPERIENCE IN RELATED FIELD: 3 years of related experience required in an airline/airport Operations Department, or Fixed Base Operators (FBO); or dispatching in a public safety communications center environment. Relevant experience that will be considered includes, but is not limited to any of the following areas: working in an in airport operations control center; working in an airline operations control center; aircraft gate planning; aircraft dispatching; monitoring / controlling complex aviation security access systems; dispatching fire, police or emergency medical personnel; call taking or dispatching in a multi-agency coordination center. UNIQUE EXPERTISE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATIONS: 1. Valid and current driver's license unrestricted except for corrective lenses and automatic transmission. 2. Ability to pass Massport's security clearance check. Ability to obtain and maintain a Logan Airport security badge. 3. Knowledge of FAR's, FAA procedures, and equipment and the AIM manual. (Part 36, 77, 139, 1542, and 1540 as they pertain to Airport Operations, safety and security, preferred.) 4. Ability to qualify in four separate areas: card access security monitoring; ramp control/gate planning; communications/coordination, and Fire Alarm dispatch. 5. Ability to obtain APCO (Association of Public Safety Communications Officers) certification within six months. 6. Ability to re-certify annually. 7. Working knowledge of computerized spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and other computer programs in a windows environment preferred. 8. Ability to type 25 wpm, preferred. 9. Ability to pass Massport controlled substance testing and background and security check. Supplemental Information WORKING CONDITIONS: Environmental Parameters: Ability to work in an office environment and to travel to all Massport facilities as needed. Ability to work in an airport environment with conditions that may include: fumes, odors, gases, chemicals, and dust as well as decibels in the range of 65-100; and in all weather conditions (hot, cold, humid, dry, and wet). Physical Demands: Strength: Ability to lift/and or move up to 30 lbs on occasion. Type: Ability to discriminate colors to distinguish signal and runway lights; ability to work in a stressful environment; to view video cameras and television type screens; and ability to hear alarm systems. WORK SCHEDULE: Ability to work any shift as assigned, including nights, weekends and holidays, for a 40 hour work week. Ability to be available for overtime as assigned or required.
