Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate industrial laboratory facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.

  • Be knowledgeable in the relevant ASTM, API, and GPA analysis methods

  • Implement a complete analyzer preventative maintenance program and maintain a stock of all critical analyzer spare parts and calibration standards.

  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality determination.

  • Maintain logs on all analyzer service, preventative maintenance and calibrations.

  • Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated laboratory facilities.

  • Assist with analyzer construction or modification.

  • Download, audit and transmit data from electronic measurement devices.

  • Collect purity product and or NGL samples in compliance with company safety and regulatory policies and procedures.

  • Work independently and demonstrate a strong sense of problem ownership with minimal supervision.

  • Capable of managing "special projects" analysis work.

  • Possess knowledge of applicable regulatory agency requirements and procedures.

  • Effectively communicate technical information (orally and in writing) to company management and customer base.

  • Strong team player; effective listener; takes direction and open to learning from others; engages abilities of others.

  • Possess the ability to effectively deal with multiple unexpected problems occurring simultaneously.

  • Exhibit the highest ethical standards engendering trust from managers and peer co-workers.

  • Maintain LIMS system and approve data to be exported to the LIMS

  • Train operations personnel is proper sample collection and lab analysis methods.

  • High level of accuracy is required, with special attention to details.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft platform, ability to be self- sufficient, work with others a group. Lift 50lbs.

  • Minimum of 3 years of analytical experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, and Excel.

  • Proficiency with analyzer control software such as Chemstation, EZ Chrome preferred.

  • Understanding of protocols used to allow communication between analyzers and process control systems.

  • LIMS database software; SQL server database software

Special Characteristics/

Job Requirements:
  • Working in a lab environment, inside a Frac facility, working at remote sites by his/her self. Being able to work overtime at anytime.

  • Exposure to hazardous conditions.
