REPORTS TO: QC Manager, Analytical


The Analytical Chemist/ data analyst is responsible to acquire data from multiple sources, track, trend, and analyze for product stability and shelf life. He/ She will also monitor the system performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. In addition, the Analytical Chemist/ data analyst is responsible for reviewing data from multiple sources, track, trend and analyze for annual APR's.

  • Performs a statistical analysis of information for the APR as needed.

  • Reviews, analyzes and approves all information/summaries contained in the APR.

  • Reviews and assures adequate documentation is included for observed trends.

  • Reviews APR information in total; assures document is assembled correctly.

  • Drafts the management summary statement for the APR.

  • Assists in the circulation of the completed APR for review and approval.

  • May deliver APR presentations/metrics as needed to Quality Management.

  • May update site or related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)


  • General laboratory skills and background knowledge

  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

  • Write Analytical product review reports.

  • Highly collaborative team player, with excellent organizational skills, ability to navigate and be successful in fast-paced and highly-matrixed work environment with changing priorities.


  • The successful candidate will have college degree in science or computer or industrial experience.

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a GMP related industry with a focus on Quality Assurance is required.

  • Experience in a Pharmaceutical/OTC drug production environment is preferred.

  • The ability to analyze data using statistical tools is required.

  • Technical writing experience is required.

  • Experience writing and putting together Annual Product Review summaries is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements is required.

  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision required.

  • Strong appreciation for quality in the process and the product required.

  • Ability to work on cross functional teams required.

  • Requires a professional and ethical approach to all activities and dealings.

  • Keen attention to detail required.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive working relationships with others.

  • Expertise in handling multiple priorities preferred

  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel

  • Experience using JMP or Minitab a plus

  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

VIEW JOBS 7/16/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-10-14T00:00 Business Commissions Analyst The Opportunity The Business Commissions Analyst will be a crucial part of helping the company run day-to-day and monthly business-critical Commissions processes. There will be a high level of cross-departmental collaboration between the Finance, Marketing, IT, Customer Support, and Field Development teams. The position is based in San Ramon and candidate must have the ability to travel between offices in San Francisco and San Ramon as needed. The ideal candidate will be self-disciplined and motivated in an environment that requires creativity and strong attention to detail. Responsibilities: * Audit monthly commission calculations and payout data, including operational data. * Calculate and audit monthly performance bonuses. Including short and long term ad-hoc bonuses brought on by management. * Document current processes and implement new audit strategies. * Generate reports on performance, earnings and bonuses payouts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. * Daily auditing of account level data of new enrollments and ensuring that accounts are properly created. Working with Customer Support to assure that all failures are properly resolved. * Maintain records of exceptions and manual corrections to the monthly commission runs. * Document the Commission payment and e-wallet management process through a third party payment vendor. Initiate, monitor and audit transactions flows. * Quality test new Commission code deployments to ensure uninterrupted business flow and data accuracy. * Work with Customer Support to investigate Commissions issues and ensure resolutions are delivered in an accurate and in a timely manner. Foster relationship to assure Commissions processes are in line with what is being done on the ground level. * Participate in internal meetings with Compliance, Customer Support, and Field Development and bring commissions knowledge for appropriate insight/input. Must have a thorough knowledge of compensation plan and all account/customer issues. * Work with IT and PMO to investigate Commissions issues and ensure resolutions are delivered in an accurate and in a timely manner. This includes tracking bug fixes via JIRA. * Manage e-wallet account activity. This includes working with third party vendor to pull appropriate reports to properly track account details. * Work with Data Services (IT) and e-wallet third party vendor to assure account consistency between two parties. * Manage Special Withholding process * Partner with Accounting during month-end close on Commissions and Commissions related expense bookings and accruals * Assist in development of Consolidated and by Country AnnualBudgets, Reforecast and Long Range Planning for Commissions, Programs and other Commissions Administration related expenses such as Hyperwallet, Fraud and Risk Management, Tax and other 3rdparty vendors * Prepare accurate, timely and insightful monthly and periodic VarianceAnalysis and Management Reporting to Executive Management * Provide insightful Financial Analysis on Commissions related data points to various business partners such as New Market Development and Field Development Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Mathematics, Accounting or Finance or other majors with equivalent Business Analysis experience. * Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as Business Analyst or Financial Analyst. * Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel (ability to do Pivot Table, vlookup, etc) and PowerPoint presentation creation. * Demonstrate commitment to mastering new skills * Strong interpersonal skills: professional, courteous, friendly, and empathetic * Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment * Ability to handle multiple projects with high attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment * Ability to positively adjust to a rapidly changing environment * Effective time management skills * Previous experience with large data sets is a plus * Direct Selling / Network Marketing industry experience or knowledge is a plus * Experience working with various, cross-functional, internal and external groups to deliver meaningful results on time and on budget with limited direction. * Results-driven, innovative thinker. * Excellent organizational skills and ability to create and maintain detailed documentation * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills * Ability to anticipate needs, innovate, multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment.
