We are seeking an Analytical Chemist for our West Chicago location due to the expansion of our Research & Development division. Essential functions of the job are: Utilize analytical instrumentation to assist in developing new printing inks. Study the effect of printing ink on food packaging. Apply analytical methods and techniques as indicated by project leader in finding solutions to particular problems. Previous experience within the Ink Industry is preferred.

Perform wet chemistry tests on raw materials and printing inks
Operate general analytical instruments such as: GC/MS, GC/FID, FTIR, DSC, TGA
Properly evaluate and interpret generated data
Conduct calibration, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment
Prepare standard and sample solutions as required
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred or related science field
Must have 3 to 5 years of experience
Experience with LC/MS/MS (Agilent Mass Hunter a plus)
Knowledge of scientific principles and theories that may be applied
Good organizational and communication skills are essential
Must pass a color vision test
Additional Qualifications Requested or Helpful: SAP knowledge Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
