As a Analytical Chemist, you are responsible for:

  • Conducting research and experiments to analyze data and test hypotheses to gain an understanding of products and processes

  • Applying sophisticated scientific understanding to research or development problems to provide inventive solutions toward new development efforts

  • Collaborating with research and manufacturing functions throughout product development cycle projects to ensure successful project delivery

  • Communicating research results to stakeholders through reports and presentations

  • Creating and protecting intellectual property for our company to ensure ownership of our products and designs

  • Performing laboratory sample preparation, laboratory analysis, interpreting data, providing written reports, and performing instrument troubleshooting as needed

  • Presenting to internal teams on metrics, project status and research, and providing technical support and service.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, (Master's or PhD preferred).

  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience with an analytical chemistry laboratory.

  • Would strongly prefer experience with but not limited to sample preparation, instrumentation, analysis, and data interpretation for IC (ion chromatography) and/or ICP-OES (inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy) and/or deposits analysis.

  • Have significant experience and a fundamental understanding of the analyses of discrete organic molecules as well as polymers

  • Have the ability to develop new test methods for in-depth product characterization

  • Show a solid understanding of structure-property relationships

  • Be able to show excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills

  • Previous experience taking projects from conception to completion with various teams within the organization

  • Must be willing and able to present information to various levels of the organization in a clear and concise manner
