JANUS Research Group is supporting the Mission Command Battle Lab (MCBL) at Fort Leavenworth, KS. The MCBL is the Army Futures Commands (AFC) premier lab for experimentation on the Command and Control (C2) Warfighting Function, Echelons Above Brigade and the integration of all Warfighting Functions. MCBL investigates emerging concepts and technologies, and explores the deep future through experimentation, studies, and prototyping to inform C2 capability development and Echelons Above Brigade modernization efforts. MCBL proposes solutions within the Science and Technology community, the generating force, and operational force.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide Analytic support to Concept Development and Prototype Experimentation for MCBL.
Responsible for interfacing with and briefing Government personnel (Military and Civilian) of all ranks.
Develop, implement, oversee, and improve as necessary those processes and procedures required to address and satisfy the Government's contractually defined objectives while ensure high quality products and services.
Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, updating project plans, approving expenditures, and making decisions about department related purchases.
Coordinate and/or attend cross-functional meetings of personnel related to project.
Report status, develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned.
Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions (when required).
Responsible for developing and accessing documentation in the form of reports, proposals, white papers, and briefings.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
Security Clearance: Secret required.
United States Citizenship
BA or BS from an accredited university.
5 years experience with Army Experimentation.
Ability to develop Learning Demands, Measures of Effectiveness, and developing methodology for Army Experiments.
Model skillsets to create computer models of command and control (C2) system sub-component prototypes personnel/organization, communications networks, processes, and command post nodes.
Completion of IA Level I Training within 30 days of contract start date
Other duties as outlined, such as providing analytical and scenario support to the event, as well as conducting futures research and foresight activities.
